KARAN MAHAJAN grew up in New Delhi, India, and now lives in upstate New York. His first novel, FAMILY PLANNING, was a finalist for the International Dylan Thomas Prize and was published in nine countries. His second novel, THE ASSOCIATION OF SMALL BOMBS, was a finalist for the 2016 National Book Award and The New York Times chose it as one of its “10 Best Books of 2016.” Mahajan’s writing has appeared in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, and The New Yorker Online, among other publications, and his piece, “The Anthology,” was included in Granta’s 2017 “Best of Young American Novelists” issue. He is currently at work on his third novel.
