Kit Rachlis

KIT RACHLIS is a senior editor at The California Sunday Magazine, the bimonthly distributed by (but editorially independent of) the Los Angeles Times and the San Francisco Chronicle. He has served as editor-in-chief of the L.A. Weekly, senior projects editor at the Los Angeles Times, editor-in-chief of Los Angeles magazine, and editor-in-chief of The American Prospect. Articles Rachlis has edited have gone on to win numerous journalism awards, including a Pulitzer Prize and a Livingston Award. In addition, he has edited Peter Guralnick’s two-volume biography of Elvis Presley, J. R. Moehringer’s THE TENDER BAR, and Richard Rothstein’s THE COLOR OF LAW, among other books.
