No two authors have done more to raise the profile and skewer the image of their home state than CARL HIAASEN and DAVE BARRY, residents of the great state of Florida, which has so often been the target of their sharp eyes and comedic gifts. Both men were columnists for the Miami Herald before becoming authors with their tales about the oddballs, hustlers, and politicians (or, more likely, all-in-one) who make up the citizenry of a place they both call home.
