All the Ways to Join SVWC 2026
Por: SVWC
FREE EVENTS & COMMUNITY PROGRAMMING JULY 18-20
At the Sun Valley Writers’ Conference, we aim to educate, inspire, and spark a lifelong love of literature and learning. Each summer, we bring the country’s leading writers and thinkers to Sun Valley to share ideas, explore big questions, and ignite curiosity.
As one of the country’s most sought-after literary gatherings, our venues can’t accommodate all the booklovers we wish to welcome. We also recognize that, for some, cost can be a barrier.
That is why we have opened our doors each year, both virtually and in-person, to make SVWC as accessible as possible. With free Pavilion lawn talks, free livestreaming, and a free Community Speaker Series, as well as free online audio and video recordings (including our very own podcast) in our digital media library, there are many ways to get involved at no cost. We also offer reduced-cost Special Series Pavilion Passes for select Pavilion talks and a Live Watch Party at The Argyros theater in downtown Ketchum.
Our deepest commitment is to our Wood River Valley community—including teachers, students, educators, and librarians—while also embracing readers and writers from underserved communities worldwide.
SVWC is a place where minds open, creativity flourishes, and meaningful conversations unfold—spaces that are increasingly rare, and increasingly essential, in today’s world—and we want everyone to be a part of them.
Stay tuned in the coming months as we roll out more information about each of these offerings. We highly recommend signing up for our email newsletter to receive important updates and information.
Thank you being part of the SVWC community. We can’t wait to celebrate with you in July, in whatever way you’re able to join us.
