Liaquat Ahamed

LIAQUAT AHAMED is the author of the 2010 Pulitzer Prize-winning Lords of Finance: The Bankers Who Broke the World, which explores the events leading up to the Great Depression of 1929-1932. Also awarded the Council on Foreign Relations Arthur Ross Gold Medal and the Financial Times Best Business Book of the Year Award in 2009. Ahamed is currently writing a book about the 1873 crisis. He is the Board Chair of the Sun Valley Writers’ Conference and resides in Los Angeles and Washington, D.C. with his wife, Meena, who is also a writer.
