Community members can once again experience select Sun Valley Writers’ Conference (SVWC) talks from inside the iconic Sun Valley Pavilion.

Our popular Pavilion Passes will return for 2026, with passes officially going on sale Tuesday, June 2 at 9am MST.

Designed to expand community access to the Conference, Pavilion Passes offer attendees the chance to experience select presentations inside the iconic Sun Valley Pavilion—without requiring a Full Conference Pass. Options range from $50 single-talk passes to $100 curated two-talk packages and include audience Q&A sessions and book signings.

Over the years, the Sun Valley Writers’ Conference has welcomed some of the world’s most influential writers and thinkers, including Doris Kearns Goodwin, David Brooks, Abraham Verghese, Margaret Atwood, Ocean Vuong, and Salman Rushdie. The 2026 lineup will be announced shortly before passes go on sale and is expected to once again feature acclaimed voices from literature, journalism, science, history, politics, and the arts.

More than just event tickets, Pavilion Passes reflect SVWC’s ongoing commitment to making these conversations accessible to the broader Wood River Valley community.

“Community access has become an increasingly important part of our mission,” says SVWC Marketing & Communications Manager Kate Elgee Haase. “The Pavilion Pass program allows more people to experience the energy, inspiration, and exchange of ideas that define the Conference weekend, and we’re incredibly grateful to the donors who make that possible.”

The program is made possible through donor support, helping ensure that meaningful literary conversations extend beyond Conference passholders and remain connected to the local community.

Because Pavilion Passes are limited and historically sell out quickly, early purchase is strongly encouraged.

The 2026 Sun Valley Writers’ Conference will take place July 18–20, 2026. Pavilion Passes go on sale Tuesday, June 2 at 9am MST at svwc.com/pavilion-pass.
