FREE TALK! As part of the SVWC School Speaker Series, Alejandra Campoverdi will be giving a free lecture at the Hailey Public Library on April 23 at 5:30pm—this event is open to the public, made possible by generous donations to SVWC.
At one of our local schools, author of the national bestseller "First Gen" will also be speaking with local high school and middle school students about her experience as a first-generation college student and conducting a writing workshop focused on students’ own “origin stories.” Learn more at the link in bio.

The rare artist is accomplished in different genres and different media. Poet, photographer, and visual artist Rachel Eliza Griffiths (rachelelizagriffiths) is one of those artists. Now she has added the title of novelist with Promise, a beautiful debut about two young Black sisters in 1950s Maine and about how racism and discrimination reached into the small towns of America, distorting lives and dreams. The book has that rare ability to blend big national themes with the vivid, tender details of intimate lives. We can`t for her to join us for #SVWC2025!
