Attendance & Photo Policy

Please note, by attending any Sun Valley Writers’ Conference event, you agree to our attendance & photo policies as outlined below.

PHOTO POLICY
  • During the course of the Sun Valley Writers’ Conference, we will be filming, photographing, and recording the overall experience, including all sessions and any Q&A that is included. This is primarily for our marketing and distribution of content. Please be aware that by attending the Conference you consent to allow the Conference to use your likeness and voice in recordings, films, and tapes in our marketing materials and all media, now and in the future, waive any rights with respect to such use, and release the Sun Valley Writers’ Conference from any liability pertaining to such use.
  • Events may be recorded or livestreamed by SVWC.
  • No commercial photography or videography is permitted, except by those contracted by SVWC.
  • Unauthorized recording for commercial purposes is prohibited.

ATTENDANCE POLICY
  • Passes are required of all participants for ticketed events, and anyone without a pass or ticket will be asked by security to leave the site or to return to Registration if a pass has been lost. There are many ways to access SVWC’s content and talks—you may visit our website or our Information Desk in the Bookstore Tent to learn more about other options for enjoying SVWC content.  We appreciate all support of our nonprofit endeavor.
  • We aim to foster an environment of tolerance and curiosity, of elevated and courteous conversation, with the free exchange of ideas. We ask all attendees to be respectful of our guests and speakers, even when thoughts expressed represent differences in opinions.
  • SVWC has a well established press policy, with interviews requested and scheduled. We ask attendees to refrain from approaching writers for interviews or recording talks for resale.
  • Please note, the views, opinions, and positions expressed by SVWC speakers and attendees at the Conference are the speakers’ and attendees’ own and do not necessarily reflect those of SVWC, its founders, board members, staff, or volunteers.
