SVWC Presenters Nominated for National Book Awards

Three SVWC presenters – one past and two 2020 speakers – have been named to the National Book Award Longlist for Fiction for 2019.

   

LAILA LALAMI, who is confirmed as a 2020 speaker at the Conference, has been nominated for her newest novel The Other Americans. To read more about Laila Lalami, click here.

OCEAN VUONG, who is slated to present at the 2020 conference, has been nominated for his novel On Earth We’re Briefly Gorgeous. To read more about Ocean Vuong, click here.

COLSON WHITEHEAD, who presented at the Conference in 2017, has been nominated for the second time, this time for his newest book The Nickel Boys. To read more about Colson Whitehead, click here.
