SVWC Announces Lineup for Summer Speaker Series

The Sun Valley Writers’ Conference has released the complete lineup for its new Summer Speaker Series – a community outreach initiative presented in partnership with The Community Library. Confirmed presenters and dates are as follows:

 

  • Thursday, July 1: Rebecca Makkai – author of The Great Believers and The Hundred-Year House and National Book Award and Pulitzer Prize finalist
  • Thursday, July 15: Susan Orlean – staff writer for The New Yorker and author of The Orchid Thief and The Library Book
  • Wednesday, July 21: Tobias Wolff – memoirist, novelist, short-story writer, and author of This Boy’s Life and In Pharaoh’s Army
  • Wednesday, July 28: Patrick Radden Keefe – staff writer for The New Yorker, investigative reporter, and author of Say Nothing and Empire of Pain

 

All talks will take place in-person, outdoors at The Community Library at 7:00 PM and the events will be free and open to the public as well as live-streamed via the library’s website. Pre-registration will be required to ensure adequate COVID-19 seating and safety measures.
